Can you help Andy the North Carolina Kitten?
This tiny, defenseless 10-week-old kitten was abandoned and abused. Left on a doorstep, he was covered in spray foam insulation that had eaten away at his fur and caused open wounds. The wounds have become infected and infested with maggots. His tail has lost all of its fur and the veterinarian is not sure if it can be saved.
How can anyone do this to this little fur baby?
We have paid for the preliminary examination but this little guy may need x-rays and bloodwork, he is going to need a lot of help. We do not know how much his treatment or surgery will cost at this point until the veterinarian gets the bloodwork and x-ray results back.
Pray for this little angel. Every dollar you can donate will go towards any medical care Andy needs now and in the future.
We will have an update soon!
Andy had been cleared by the vet a few weeks ago, however there was something not right with Andy's tail. Andy kept chewing on his tail to the extent that he made it bleed. After consulting with his vet it was determined that Andy's tail had nerve damage and he was uncomfortable. The vet recommend that Andy's tail be amputated. Andy had surgery to remove his tail and he was also neutered during the surgery. His mom said he is doing great and doesn't realize he is missing some body parts! We wish Andy a speedy recovery and a happy kitty life. Thank you to everyone who donated to help this tiny fur baby.
Tiny Andy is a Fighter! Andy was lucky, most of his tail has healed, only a part of the tip of his tail died and naturally fell off. Andy has made a full recovery and is getting so big! His mom says he is full of energy and loves to get into mischief. Thank you to every one who cared about the little guy.
