Coco the service dog has a big heart, literally. She suffers from an ongoing heart condition called Degenerative Mitral Valve Disease, which causes enlarging of her heart. While the disease is serious and life-threatening, she gets along fine when it is controlled with medication and regular check-ups. The cost of the ongoing treatment has become too much for Coco’s mom, who is unable to work due to a permanent disability.
Coco may seem like your average small chihuahua, but she has a big job. She offers companionship and support to her owner and her owner’s elderly mother. She is a support system for an entire family.
Please help Coco overcome this life-threatening condition by helping to cover some of her medical bills.
She receives two medications a month at $30 and $59 each.
Her check-ups cost about $25 each
And she sometimes needs additional ultrasounds to X-rays to monitor the condition, which can cost upwards of $800.
Please make a donation to help this hard-working chihuahua overcome.
Coco gained a whole year of life thanks to your support. Unfortunately, her little heart eventually lost its battle and she crossed the rainbow bridge. She was with her loving mom at the end, and she will be forever in our hearts.
