URGENT! 😿 KILO the Kitty has been hospitalized since August 10th with a urinary blockage and suspected bladder tear. He was neutered by the local Human Society in June and two days later his Urethra plug shut and he was unable to urinate.
Kilo currently has a urinary catheter but he needs a Perineal Urethrostomy (PU) procedure done to remove his urinary obstruction ASAP! His mom can not afford the expensive surgery as she has already spent $1,000 towards his hospitalization.
We need help to pay for the surgery to save Kilo's life and his current hospital bill. Please donate today to help Kilo and his mom.
Kilo is doing much better and is on the road to recovery. After trial and error with different prescription urinary foods that will help prevent further urinary issues, Kilo has found the one he likes and his digestive issues have all cleared up. Unfortunately, prescription food is very expensive.
Kilo's mom contacted us over the weekend and asked if we could help with his food expense and the special litter he needs to detect any future urinary tract infections before they becomes problematic. Kilo's mom has had some major medical problems since July, that has left her disabled and on a limited income.
To feed Kilo it costs $110.00 a month or $3.67 a day and the Pretty Litter costs $22.00 a month. That's a total of $132.00 a month or $1,584.00 per year!
If you can help feed Kilo please make a donation.
Kilo the Kitty has had another set back!
Kilo the 4-year-old Kitty had Perineal Urethrostomy surgery on August 25th to surgically open his urethra and make a new, wider opening to prevent future blockages.
Over the weekend Kilo started straining to urinate and crying in pain. His mom rushed him to the emergency clinic Sunday night, and the veterinarian confirmed that Kilo has an aggressive urinary tract infection.
Kilo is being treated with heavy antibiotics, fluids and pain medication. This sweet boy has been through so much!
Please pray that Kilo will make it through this!
