We recently received a donation from someone in mourning who had a hopeful message. After her dog, Buttercup, passed away, she sent us this note:
Dear For The Love of Alex,
Thank you for your kind words. Every precious day counted with Buttercup. I have made a small donation of $100 from my stimulus funds and in the near future, will donate on a regular basis once I recover and return to work. I would love to help others in situations similar to mine.
It's comforting to know that organizations like yours are helping low-income families save their pets.
L.D. Buttersup's mom
This heartfelt message gave me an idea. If any of our followers have a little stimulus money that you don't need to get by, please consider matching this $100 donation. Or just giving what you have. Every donation matters.
Let me be clear: We absolutely do not want one cent of your money, stimulus or otherwise, if you need it. You must always take care of yourself, your family, and your pets first. If you are suffering because you made a donation, then we are not reaching our goal of making the world a better place.
Buttercup and her mom remain in my thoughts, and it always touches my heart to hear when someone in such pain is able to give hope to others.
Please donate here if you can:
Hugs and hope to you and your family.
