Alyyx, the dare-devil kitty! One of Alyyx's favorite spots is on top of the kitchen wall cabinets so she can see everything going on at home. Tragically, Alyyx jumped down, slipped on the countertop, and fell to the ground. Her dad rushed her to the veterinary clinic, and diagnostic x-rays showed her femur is shattered and needs amputation.
Alyyx was born in a feral community; she was lucky to find a family that took her and her sibling in and gave them a loving home. Alyyx’s dad is a U.S. Army Veteran and former Army Reservist; he is low-income and takes care of his adult son. Alyyx’s dad cannot afford her $1500 surgery. Alyyx is an essential part of this family, she helps her hooman brother with emotional support, and he is frantic that she is in pain.
Alyyx’s veterinarian sent home medication to keep her comfortable, and dad is keeping her confined so as not to cause any more damage to her leg. Still, this beautiful little tabby desperately needs to get to surgery!
