Poor Khaleesi cannot get a break!
Khaleesi had lost a lot of weight, diagnostic testing confirmed she is diabetic. Khaleesi is still struggling to get her glucose levels under control after 3 months! She has blood glucose checks at the veterinary clinic every two weeks, she has insulin twice a day, and is on a special diabetic diet. The vet shaved an area on Khaleesi's back to make it easier for her mom to give her the insulin injections. Khaleesi's cost for insulin and food is approximately $150 a month. Khaleesi's mom is disabled and on social security, she called us frantically last week because she is afraid for Khaleesi's future.πΏ
