We have some EXCITING NEWS! For The Love Of Alex has officially adopted a kitty.
Please welcome Alex II to the FTLOA family.
As you know, we lost our beloved Alex suddenly on May 9th, 2022, at the ripe old age of 18 1/2. We were not looking for another kitty to replace him. Recently, while browsing the internet, We saw this beautiful fur baby staring back at us; We couldn't believe his uncanny resemblance to our Alex!
We couldn't stop thinking about this kitty, so we sent the rescue organization an email with a picture of our Alex. They replied almost immediately! Meraki Animal Sanctuary is a fantastic organization located in Northeast Pennsylvania. They rescue cats, dogs, and rabbits from the streets of Philadelphia and have a TNR program.
Alex II wasn't well, hadn't been neutered, and was highly neglected. He had an owner at one time who didn't want him and tossed him into the streets. A kind animal lover called the sanctuary to see if they could find him a home. Alex II has been at the sanctuary for six weeks; he was neutered, tested for FIV & FELV, vaccinated, and treated for a severe upper respiratory infection. His veterinarian gave Alex II the all-clear this past Friday!
Alex II is a young male, his teeth are in good shape, and he has picked up some much-needed weight. Alex is extremely friendly and playful and gets along well with the other FTLOA team fur babies.
We are thrilled that Meraki Animal Sanctuary chose us to be Alex II's forever home. Alex II will continue the role of namesake at For The Love Of Alex Inc. (He will have some big paws to fill!) πΎ
Alex II will play an essential part in helping us raise funds to help save the lives of pets in need of emergency veterinary care. π
